Chocolate, Orange and walnuts – one of the best combos! All packed in a smooth cheesecake.
for the crust:
150g ground walnuts/hazelnuts
4 tbsp date puree
a splash of lemon juice
a pinch of salt
for the cheese layer:
4 tbsp coconut butter or cocoa butter for a firmer texture
3 tbsp cocoa powder
3 to 4 tbsp maple syrup
Soak the cashews for 3 to 4 hours.
For the crust mix the nuts with the date puree and top it off with a little lemon juice and/or salt. Roll the dough or press it into the spring-form (use parchment paper or clear film).
Fillet the oranges.
Mix all the ingredients in a blender and pour into the spring-form pan.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or freeze for at least 1 hour. Remove from the freezer 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with walnuts, cocoa powder and fresh orange slices. This orange Chocolate Cheesecake stays fresh for a couple of days. Enjoy!
