I got leftover from making a full glass of date paste. Into the fridge & cross off the list!
It’s preparation time for the food shooting for my upcoming dessert book!
I am making ahead all the recipes that don’t perish. Meaning mostly dried stuff like crumbles (in the dehydrator right now), granola and dried apple pieces which are used for an energy bar.
How I’ve come to write a book with 20 years? I sticked with this theory.
A year ago, I came across the sentence and posted it on Facebook. Back then I never thought it would have such an impact on my life!
It proved to be true. If you follow your passion and spend your time doing things you love, you will be motivated. You will have fun. And you will be able to concentrate all your energy on your passion.
So after finishing school, I took a year off and did what I loved most. Making desserts! Taking pictures, experimenting with raw and vegan food. Creating recipes for people with allergies.
Eventually I had 98 recipes together, along with 95 pictures.
I wrote two pages explaining what the book is about. I would have published it myself in case I wouldn’t find a publisher. Added a few pictures & a personal letter and mailed it. And a week later I got a call from the editorial office–they were interested.
Along with a few samples I went to meet them. They agreed on publishing under the condition that I’d have to take the pictures again with a professional food photographer. Well, that’s coming up next week.
Now I have to take a look at the crumbles. 🙂
